Roseland Pinot Precoce
Grape variety: Pinot Noir Précoce
Tasting notes: This single vineyard Pinot rosé is the fullest most fruit forward of our rosés. It is salmon pink colour, typical of Pinot based rosé wines, with a nose full of ripe red summer fruit characters. The palate continues along similar lines with rich flavours of cherry, redcurrant and blackberry.
Food pairing: It makes a good wine for an aperitif or with a wide range of foods, even a summer barbeque. This easy drinking, dry rosé shows a perfect balance of fruit weight and acidity that pairs superbly with salmon, chicken and rich salads. For the more adventurous, pair with Cornish Brie and experience a mouthwatering sensation, reminiscent of raspberry ripple! Serve at 12 degrees.
Winemakers notes: The Pinot Noir Précoce fruit used in this rosé came from a single vineyard located on the Roseland Peninsula near Portscatho. After a warm and dry late summer full of high expectations fruit was finally harvested by hand during the final week in September. This Pinot rosé was whole bunch pressed, and fermented for a long a period at a cool temperature in stainless steel to be as true to the fruit and vineyard as possible.
