Food Pairing: Good as an aperitif as both light and soft, perfect with locally caught seafood.

Intended as an easy drinking, light and refreshing English white wine. Incredibly light and delicate in body with good acidity and ripe flavours. 

Tasting Notes:
As always with our Madeleine our philosophy is to allow the varietal to express its self. 2019 was a good year for the Madeleine allowing for a slow and steady maturation of the grapes. The palate is dry, fruity and well balanced with a crisp tangy pear and citrus filled finish.

Winemakers Notes: 2019 was a good year for the Madeleine, the ripening conditions were neither too cool nor too hot resulting in a long slow ripening period. Both sugar levels and acidity were fine and balanced. The juice was fermented cool between 10-16 degrees celsius to maintain aromas and freshness. Following the ferment the wine was aged for a further 6 months on its lees ['Sur lie'], to add body and softness, before being bottled. Serve lightly chilled at 10 degrees celcius.
