Wine: Still White
Grape Variety: Bacchus
Character: Crisp, delicate, aromatic
Aromas: Gooseberry, elderflower, herbs
Flavours: Gooseberry, green apple
Style: Englands answer to Sauvignon blanc
Food Pairing: Enjoy alongside salads or with a cheese course
Vinification: Picked by hand, part of this Bacchus was crushed and cold soaked to extract more powerful aromas. The majority fermented cool in stainless steel tanks but a small proportion went in to barrel. It was aged for a short period after fermentation and bottled in June of 2021.
Winemaker’s notes: Powerfully aromatic, this Bacchus reflects the good ripeness levels achieved in 2020. The palate is crisp but fruit filled with a hint of white pepper on the finish. A wonderfully well balanced easy drinking wine, but also incredibly versatile. Serve at 10c.
