Cornish Wine & Cheese Pairing

Our wine and cheese pairing is a the ultimate treat or the perfect gift idea. Combining locally-sourced Cornish cheeses, finest biscuits and our own Knightor wines, created here in South Cornwall with grapes from our vineyards in Portscatho and Seaton, indulge in the ultimate taste of Cornwall. 

Our winemaker and head chef have hand-picked this selection to highlight the very best of Cornish and Westcountry produce. From Treveador Farm in West Cornwall, Helford Blue has previously won gold in the World Cheese Awards. Notable for its soft, creamy texture with mild blue flavour, this one is delightfully subtle.

A fantastic match for blue cheese, the Mena Hweg 2023 is popular for it's semi sweet and soft, aromatic character. Mena Hweg is inspired by the great wines of Germany and features soft peach, elderflower and peach flavours. Its low alcohol percentage makes it a great aperitif or cheeseboard addition. 

From Liskeard, we have The Truffler a Cornish truffle brie which is earthy, robust and moreish plus a Godminster Cheddar which, although not Cornish, is a much loved essential to any cheese board. 

If you haven't sampled Cornish Yarg yet, this is soon to be one of your cheeseboard favourites. A fresh and creamy cheese is wrapped in nettles, the essential ingredient for creating that delicate, mushroomy taste that matches perfectly with Knightor Bacchus 2022. 

A wonderful English alternative to Sauvignon Blanc, this easy-drinking, refreshing white wine has good acidity with ripe flavours, excellent with creamy cheeses, salads and seafood.

Due to the nature of the artisan cheeses relatively short shelf life we recommend ordering close to when you wish to enjoy them.
