Trevannion 2019
We are so pleased to announce that our Trevannion 2019 is now available. We receive so many requests about this amazing wine, but we have not had it ready until now as we need particular grape varietals to display the right taste and acidity profiles, which means we can't produce it every year. The last time we produced our Trevannion variant was 2016 so we are very pleased to have our 2019 vintage ready for you in bottle, waiting to be enjoyed.
Winemakers notes: This is the first time since 2016 that we have been able to make this wine. Its aromatic blend of Siegerrebe, Schonberger and Muller Thurgau. The grapes were fermented cool separately in stainless steel tanks to retain the natural fruit aromas and flavours. The wines were left to age on lees for 5 months before a blend was decided upon. This was then bottled mid April. Serve at 10-12c.
Named for Elizabeth Trevannion owner of Knightor and Gorran Castle in the late 16th century. Her husband wrote 'I married a gentlewoman more for her worth than her wealth'. I hope you agree that this 2019 vintage lives up to her name and has been worth the wait.
