Enjoyed in Nathan Outlaw's Fish Kitchen, Port Isaac
Wine: Still White
Grape Variety: Bacchus
Body: Light
Sweetness: Off-Dry
Alcohol: 11.5%
Character: Delicate and floral
Aromas: Elderflower, apple, pear
Flavours: Elderflower, pear
Style: Floral and light as a feather
Food Pairing: Perfect with lightly spiced food such as a mild Thai Green Curry.
Tasting notes: Beautifully subtle and pale in appearance, there are delicate aromas of apple, pear and elderflower. The palate is elegant and gently sweet, with flavours of elderflower and pear, the resulting wine has a fresh finish due to crisp balanced acidity. The perfect aperitif.
Winemakers notes: A light, delicate expression of Bacchus that perfectly reflects 2021. A cool year with challenging ripening conditions resulted in a Bacchus with more restrained characters than typical. This wine was cool fermented in stainless steel and the ferment stopped naturally early, resulting in a wine with a little residual sugar left, perfectly balancing the light body.
